Public Hearing - Metropolitan Development Commission

A public hearing will be held by the Metropolitan Development Commission on Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at 1:00p.m. in the Public Assembly Room (2nd floor) of the City-County Building, Indianapolis, Indiana to consider the adoption of an historic preservation plan for the Irvington Historic District The district is roughly bounded by Pleasant Run Parkway, South Drive on the north; the northern edge of the B & O Railroad right-of-way, except Rawles Terrace between Audubon Road and Ritter Avenue, on the south; the west curbline of Arlington Avenue on the east; and the western lot line of 5330 Ohmer Avenue, to the west curbline of Ohmer Avenue, to the east curbline of Butler Avenue, to the north side of the Conrail right-of-way, and to the east curbline of Emerson Avenue on the west. The plan will, if adpoted, include an analysis supporting the historic significance of the Irvington Historic Distric; specific criteria for demolition of all structures and new construction of primary structures; architectural and design standards and a statement of preservation objectives. Copies of the proposed plan are on file and may be examined in Suite 1801 City Count Building, 200 East Washington Stree, Indianapolis, Indiana. Written objections to the adoption of the proposed plan will be considered if filed with the Secretary of the Metropolitan Development Commission before the hearing. Oral comments concerning the proposed plan will be heard at the public hearing. The public hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary.
